Train Chartering, Private Rail Cars and the Luxury Train Club are working together to bring families together at Christmas and the New Year on private trains around the world. The Northern Sky and Northern Dreams are two of the rail cars from Private Rail Cars, one a car with an upstairs (kids love going upstairs on trains) for great views and 4 bedrooms, and the other a sleeper – lounge for 12 passengers, with bedrooms and private bathrooms. The two rail cars can be attached to regular Amtrak trains for truly memorable multigenerational journeys over the holidays. Private rail cars can travel on many routes in the United States, such as between Chicago and New York, or Los Angeles and San Francisco. For older siblings (families are not all about the very young), the Luxury Train Club has a magical New Year planned on the Eastern & Oriental Express, with the surreal combination of a formal New Year's Eve dinner on board this Orient Express of Asia, followed by a sarong-clad beach party on a Thai beach. The Luxury Train Club also has something for the young and young-at-heart in Austria, a festive ride in royal style between the Christmas markets of Vienna and those of Salzburg. The Majestic Imperatoris based on an imperial train, delivering a sumptuous experience that will become part of family folklore for the children and their elders.
