Join Rovos Rail Pride of Africa in a tribute to the 1930s Bentley vs Le Train Bleu Race with the Rovos two-night steam-hauled journey between Pretoria and Heidelberg.
On South Africa’s Heritage Day, 24 September 2022, this maverick event will be celebrated with a convoy of vintage cars and motorbikes, thundering steam locos and daring enthusiasts in their flying machines roaring overhead.

Which Orient Express?
There are trains known as 'orient express' already operating and planned to launch in 2023 & 2024.
Orient Express La Dolce Vita
The Orient Express La Dolce Vita are new trains designed in the styles of the Italian / Hollywood 1960s. They are being built now.
The rates and dates for 2023 journeys are expected to be released in the coming months.
Orient Express Istanbul 2024
There is a train based on heritage Wagon Lits stock of the former Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express.
Please note that the cabins are likely to be remodelled with bathrooms.
The rates and dates for 2024 journeys on the Istanbul route are expected to be announced in 2023.
Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express has been operating since 1976 on the classic London / Paris - Venice and Istanbul routes.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is operated by Belmond and is not connected with the Orient Express La Dolce Vita, or the remodelled Orient Express Istanbul from 2024.
New in 2023: The Suites with private bathroom, classed between the Grand Suites with private bathroom and the Historic (Twin) Cabins.
